Loons Held to Two Runs In Loss to Burlington

The Loons scored only twice in their 4-2 loss to Burlington and Trayvon Robinson had a hand in both runs.  He went two for five and he both scored and drove in a run.

Cody White took the loss and he dropped to 3-5.  He gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

Joshua Bell Powers Loons in Win Over Bees

Joshua Bell had a big day at the plate in the Loons 10-7 win over the Bees.  He went three for five with two doubles, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.  Trayvon Robinson also helped out the cause with three RBIs and a run.

Joshua Wall had a tough start but because of all the offense, he improved to 2-5 on the season.  He gave up seven runs (five earned) on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts in five innings.

Loons Score Five In The Ninth To Beat Clinton

The Loons won a hitfest and scored five runs in the top of the ninth to top Clinton 11-9.  Preston Mattingly had a huge game and he went four for six with two doubles, an RBI and two runs.  Trayvon Robinson went two for six with six RBIs and Josh Bell finished three for six with a two run homer.

Thomas Melgarejo gave up six runs in five innings and while Michael Gardner gave up three runs in four innings, he picked up his third win of the season.

Relief Pitching Pushes Loons to Win Over South Bend

Starter Steven Johnson had a solid if short start for the Loons yesterday.  He gave up just a single run on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in only four innings of work.  Even better then that was the pen as Michael Gardner and Jesus Rodriguez threw five shutout innings in which they gave up just three hits with five strikeouts.

Centerfielder Trayvon Robinson had the big day at the plate.  He went three for four with two runs and an RBI.
