Inland Empire lost to Lake Elsinore 4-2 and the Inland Empire hitters were held in check. Travis Denker played a role in both runs for Inland Empire with a single, a run and an RBI.
Jesus Castillo fell to 2-5 on the season with a tough start. He gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks with one strikeout in six innings.
Travis Denker had two of Inland Empire’s five hits in their 10-1 loss to Lancaster. Jamie Hoffmann drove in the only run of the game.
Alberto Bastardo took the loss and he fell to 4-3 on the season. He gave up five runs (two earned) on five hits with five strikeouts in four innings. Two of those five hits he gave up went over the fence.
Inland Empire got plenty of offense in their 10-3 win over Modesto. Lucas May went three for five with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. Travis Denker went two for four with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Mario Alvarez improved to 1-3 on the season with the win. He gave up one run on two hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings.
Alberto Bastardo improved to 3-2 on the season with a nice start in Inland Empires 4-1 win over Modesto. He gave up one run on just two hits and five walks with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.
Travis Denker was the hitting star in the win. He went two for three with a double, a triple, a run and an RBI.
James McDonald had a nice start in Inland Empire’s 3-2 win over the Quakes. He gave up two runs on two hits and a walk with a season high eleven strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Travis Denker and Gabriel Gutierrez were the hitting stars in the win. Each went two for four with a double and a run.
David Pfiffer had a tough time in two relief innings in Inland Empire’s 10-5 loss to Stockton. He gave up four runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts and the rough outing ballooned Pfiffer’s ERA to 14.54.
Russel Mitchell went two for four with a homerun and two RBIs. Travis Denker went three for five with a double, an RBI and a run.
Jesus Castillo got it done today in a fantastic start in Inland Empire’s 7-0 win. He gave up just five hits without walking anyone and he struck out seven in seven shutout innings.
Travis Denker had a nice day at the plate. He went two for four with a homerun, two runs and two RBIs. Russell Mitchell went three for four with a double, a homerun, and two runs.
Yhency Brazoban took the loss in this one but it was Marlon Arias who gave up the bulk of the damage in Inland Empire’s loss to Lancaster. He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Lucas May hit his seventh homerun of the season in the 8-3 loss. Travis Denker went one for three with a run and an RBI.
