Francisco Feliz gave up a run in the thirteenth as Inland Empire lost to the Quakes 10-9. This was after a very rough start by Javy Guerra, who gave up seven runs in 3 2/3 innings.

James McDonald almost saw what should have been a sure win almost get blown. He gave up five hits and he struck out five in six shutout innings but in the seventh inning, the pen gave up three runs to make it a one run ball game. Fortunately, they knuckled down and pitched scoreless ball the rest of the way.

Marlon Arias improved to 5-1 on the season with a decent enough start in Inland Empire’s 4-3 win over Lancaster. He gave up three runs on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

James McDonald dropped to 4-5 on the season with a tough start in Inland Empires 10-8 loss to High Dessert. He gave up seven runs on nine hits and one walk with six strikeouts in four innings.

Inland Empire’s pitching gave up nineteen runs on nineteen hits in their 19-7 loss. Jordan Pratt was hit the hardest and he took the loss. He gave up seven runs in 1 1/3 innings.

Russell Mitchell hit a solo homerun in the sixth inning and that was all Inland Empire got in the 7-1 loss to Modesto. Francisco Felix was hit hard and he took the loss. He gave up four runs on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Two of the six hits went over the fence.
