The Suns padded their league lead to four games with a 3-2 win over Carolina. Clayton Kershaw, as expected, had a tough time with his big jump all the way to Double A but he put together a worthy start none the less. He gave up two runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. It’s nice to see them testing the left hander this early with some talent that should be over his head.
Ramon Troncoso improved to 7-2 with a shutout ninth inning. Anthony Raglani walked twice and scored two runs while Juan Gonzalez singled and drove in two.
Jimmy Rohan drove in three runs with his bases loaded clearing triple in the sixth inning as the Suns took care of the Barons 5-2. Kevin Howard had a nice game as well and he went two for four with a solo homerun.
Ramon Troncoso improved to 4-1 with the win. He gave up one hit and one walk in two shutout innings of relief.
The Suns came back from three runs down to beat the Lookouts 5-4 and Xavier Paul led the way at the plate in the win. He went three for four with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Ramon Troncoso picked up the win but he was more in the right place at the right time as he threw a shutout seventh inning. It was an impressive inning as he didn’t give up a baserunner and he struck out two.
Chin Lung Hu continued to rake the ball and he was one of the hitting stars in the Suns 10-3 win over Mobile. He went three for four with two doubles, three runs and an RBI. He’s hitting .338 and he’s only struck out 21 times in 213 at bats.
Cory Dunlap and Marshall McDougall also had nice games. Dunlap went two for two with two doubles, three RBIs and a run. McDougall went two for four with a double and three RBIs.
Ramon Troncoso picked up the win and he improved to 1-1 on the season with two innings of shutout relief. He gave up two hits and a walk and he struck out two in the win.
Inland Empire got it done in a 5-3 ten inning game. Lucas May was a man at the plate and he went three for five with a double, a homerun and three RBIs. Ivan DeJesus finished with two hits and two runs.
Ramon Troncoso picked up the win with two innings of shutout relief. James McDonald struck out six in five innings but he also gave up two runs.
