Despite being in last place, Vegas continued their impressive run and won their ninth straight game. Andy LaRoche went two for five with a homerun and four RBIs. Marshall McDougall went three for five with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs while Chin Lung Hu continued his impressive season with another great game. He went three for four with a double, an RBI and four runs.
Miguel Pinango improved to 6-4 on the season with the win. He gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
B.J. LuMura dropped to 1-4 on the season with a tough start in the Vegas’ 10-5 loss to Colorado Springs. He gave up seven runs on six hits and two walks with one strikeout in 1 2/3 innings.
Luis Maza went one for four with a double, a walk and two runs in the loss. Marshall McDougall singled twice and he drew a walk.
Zachary Hammes improved to 2-3 on the season in the Suns fifth straight win. He gave up one run on three hits with three strikeouts in six innings.
Marshall McDougall was the hitting star in the 8-2 win. He went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.
Michael Megrew improved to 4-5 on the season with a nice start in the Suns 7-1 win over the Biscuits. He gave up one run on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Marshall MacDougall was the hitting star in the win. He went three for five with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Juan Gonzalez went three for five with an RBI.
Chin Lung Hu continued to rake the ball and he was one of the hitting stars in the Suns 10-3 win over Mobile. He went three for four with two doubles, three runs and an RBI. He’s hitting .338 and he’s only struck out 21 times in 213 at bats.
Cory Dunlap and Marshall McDougall also had nice games. Dunlap went two for two with two doubles, three RBIs and a run. McDougall went two for four with a double and three RBIs.
Ramon Troncoso picked up the win and he improved to 1-1 on the season with two innings of shutout relief. He gave up two hits and a walk and he struck out two in the win.
Chin Lung Hu had a big day at the plate in the Suns 7-5 win over Mobile. He went three for five with a triple, a homerun and two runs scored. It was Hu’s second homerun of the season and he’s still hitting the ball well with a .330 batting average. Marshall McDougall also had a nice game. He went three for four with a triple and a run.
Alvis Ojeda picked up the win with four solid innings of relief. He gave up two hits and a walk with two strikeouts.
Zachary Hammes had a rough start in the Suns 7-2 loss to the Barons. He gave up four runs on seven hits and one strikeout in five innings of work and the loss drops him to 0-2 on the season.
Marshall McDougall hit a solo homerun in the loss. Wilkin Ruan reached base three times with two singles and a walk.
Marshall McDougall had a big day at the plate in the Suns 8-2 win over the Smokies. He went three for five with a double, a homerun and five RBIs. Chin Lung Hu continued to rake and he picked up three more hits and he scored three times to keep his batting average up over .350.
Eric Cyr picked up the win and he improved to 4-1 on the season. He gave up two runs on eight hits and he struck out three in six innings of work.
Marshall McDougall was the hitting star in the Suns 4-3 win over Carolina. He went two for three with a double and two RBIs.
John Meloan picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief. He gave up two walks and he struck out four and improved to 5-2 on the season.
The Suns topped Carolina 6-3 and they got some solid pitching in the game. Eric Cyr gave up two runs (one earned) on just one hit and a walk with five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. Jonathan Meloan picked up the win despite giving up the lead and he improved to 4-2 on the season.
Marchall McDougell ad A.J. Ellis each drove in two runs in the win. Cory Dunlap didn’t get a hit but he did draw three walks in the game.
