Las Vegas took care of the Isotopes and it was Eric Cyr who picked up the win with a nice start. He gave up just two hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six shutout innings. The win pushed his record to 2-1 on the season.
John Lindsey had a nice day at the plate. He went three for four with a double, two RBIs and a run. Delwyn Young went three for five with a double, a triple, an RBI and three runs.
Vegas was swept in their doubleheader to Tacoma and while the first game was close, it was still a loss. William Juarez took the loss and he fell to 4-5 on the season. He gave up three runs on five hits with four strikeouts and he pitched all six innings. Larry Barnes went two for three with a double and a run in the 3-2 loss
The second game as a blowout with Vegas being on the receiving end of a 6-2 loss. Dwayne Pollok gave up six runs in four innings and he fell to 0-1. Barnes had another game in this one and he went three for three with a homerun and two RBIs.
Despite being in last place, Vegas continued their impressive run and won their ninth straight game. Andy LaRoche went two for five with a homerun and four RBIs. Marshall McDougall went three for five with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs while Chin Lung Hu continued his impressive season with another great game. He went three for four with a double, an RBI and four runs.
Miguel Pinango improved to 6-4 on the season with the win. He gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
Las Vegas won again and with a 5-4 win over Portland they made it eight straight. Larry Barnes was the hitting star and he went two for three with a double, a homerun and two RBIs.
Matt Riley improved to 4-1 with two shutout innings of relief. He didn’t give up a hit and he walked one.
John Lindsey had a huge day at the plate in Vegas’ 14-9 win over Portland. He went three for three with two homeruns, a double and six RBIs. Andy LaRoche also went yard twice and he drove in four runs.
Spike Lundberg didn’t have his best stuff but it was good enough for the win. He gave up five runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings and the win pushed his record to 5-4 on the season.
Eric Cyr struck out nine and he improved to 1-1 on the season in Vegas’ 6-5 win over Salt Lake. He gave up four runs on five hits and one walks with the nine strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Delwyn Young went three for four with a homerun and four RBIs in the win. Chun Lung Hu went three for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Delwyn Young scored on John Lindsey’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to win it for Vegas in their 3-2 win over Salt Lake. Young also belted a solo homerun in the sixth inning to tie the game up at 2-2.
Chris Fussell picked up the win with an inning of shutout relief. The win pushed his record to 2-1 on the season.
