The Suns topped Carolina 6-3 and they got some solid pitching in the game. Eric Cyr gave up two runs (one earned) on just one hit and a walk with five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. Jonathan Meloan picked up the win despite giving up the lead and he improved to 4-2 on the season.
Marchall McDougell ad A.J. Ellis each drove in two runs in the win. Cory Dunlap didn’t get a hit but he did draw three walks in the game.
The Suns took care of the Jaxx 5-2 and most of the offense was provided by John Lindsey in the tenth inning. He hit a big tenth inning three run homer to win it for the Suns. The other two runs came off of a homerun by Marshall McDougall.
Eric Cyr threw six solid innings and he gave up two runs on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts. Jonathan Meloan picked up the win with two innings of shutout relief and he struck out four and improved to 3-1.
Michael Megrew got it done today for the Suns and he threw five shutout frames. He gave up four hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Jonathan Meloan ended up with the win and he threw two shutout innings.
The Suns scored only two runs and no hitter had more then one hit in the 2-1 win. Matt Tuiasosopo went one for three with a walk and a run.
Pitching reigned in this contest between the Suns and Tennessee. Michael Megrew was awesome in his seven shutout innings and he gave up just three hits with six strikeouts. Unfortunately, the Suns didn’t score for him so he didn’t get a decision. Jonathon Meloan finished the game up and gave up a single hit with three strikeouts in the final two frames to pick up the win.
The lone run didn’t come until there were two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Xavier Paul singled home A.J. Ellis for the game winner.
