Lucas May Drives In Four Runs In Inland Empire Win

Lucas May had just one hit but it was a three run homer, and when you combine it with a sac. fly, he finished the day with four RBIs in Inland Empire’s 7-4 win over San Jose.  Blake DeWitt also had a nice game and he went two for four with a double, three RBIs and a run.

Jesus Castillo picked up the win and he improved to 3-5 on the season.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Inland Empire Held to Six Hits In Loss to Lake Elsinore

Inland Empire lost to Lake Elsinore 4-2 and the Inland Empire hitters were held in check.  Travis Denker played a role in both runs for Inland Empire with a single, a run and an RBI.

Jesus Castillo fell to 2-5 on the season with a tough start. He gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks with one strikeout in six innings.

Jesus Castillo Is Shelled In Inland Empire Loss

Jesus Castillo dropped to 2-4 on the season with a rough start in Inland Empire’s 11-8 loss to High Desert.  He gave up seven runs on five hits and two walks with a strikeout in just two innings pitched.

Most of the offense came via the long ball.  Blake DeWitt hit a solo shot, James Tomlin hit a three run homer and Ivan DeJesus hit a two run homerun.

Inland Empire Loses to Quakes In Twelve Innings

Talk about a crazy game. Inland Empire and the Quakes took a scoreless game into the twelth before both teams exploded for a combined eleven runs in just the one inning.  Unfortunately, Inland Empire was on the short end of things and they lost 7-4.  A really nice start by Jesus Castillo went to waste.  He gave up two hits and two walks with five strikeouts in sevens shutout innings.

James Tomlin was at the center of Inland Empires four run twelth.  He doubled home two runs and then later scored in the inning.

Inland Empire Held to Four Hits In Loss to Lancaster

Inland Empire’s offense didn’t show up in their 8-1 loss to Lancaster.  Michael Rivera doubled, drew a walk and he scored the only run of the game.

A pretty good start by Jesus Castillo went to waste.  He gave up just one run on five hits with three strikeouts.  Mario Alvarez was hammered in his two relief innings. He gave up seven runs on six hits and four walks.

Inland Empire Loses to Modesto In Thirteen Innings

The pitching wasn’t quite there in Inland Empires 9-8 loss to Modesto.  All five pitchers that they used gave up at least one run with Jesus Castillo giving up three runs in five innings in his start.

Russell Mitchel had a big game at the plate.  He went two for seven with a homerun, a double and four RBIs.  Ivan DeJesus went four for five with a run while Lucas May went two for five with two runs and two RBIs.

Jesus Castillo Throws Seven Shutout Innings In Inland Empires Win

Jesus Castillo got it done today in a fantastic start in Inland Empire’s 7-0 win. He gave up just five hits without walking anyone and he struck out seven in seven shutout innings.

Travis Denker had a nice day at the plate.  He went two for four with a homerun, two runs and two RBIs.  Russell Mitchell went three for four with a double, a homerun, and two runs.

Inland Empire Held to Single Run in Loss to Modesto

Inland Empire lost 3-1 and their bats were essentially shut down in the loss.  Shane Justis drove in the only run with a solo shot and Russell Mitchell went two for four.

Blake DeWitt Leads Inland Empire in Win Over Lancaster

Blade DeWitt had a big day at the plate in Inland Empire’s 11-6 win over Lancaster.  He went three for five with two doubles, a walk, three RBIs and two runs.  Lucas May had two hits and two RBIs while Shane Justis went two for four with a homerun and two runs.

Jesus Castillo picked up his first win of the season with a solid outing.  He gave up one unearned run on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings of work.

Ryan Rogowski Had Three Hits in Inland Empire Loss

Inland Empire fell a run short of a nice comeback but lost it 6-5 to High Desert.  Ryan Rogowski had a nice game at the plate.  He went three for five and both scored and drove in a run.

Jesus Castillo took the loss and he dropped to 0-3 on the season. He gave up six runs in five relief innings.
