The Loons came back from a 4-2 deficit to take care of Clinton 8-5. Austin Gallagher had just one hit but it was a two run blast and Anthony Hatch went two for four with a run and two RBIs.
Justin Miller picked up the win and he improved to 3-2. He gave up four unearned runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Javy Guerra struck out two in a shutout ninth and he picked up his eleventh save of the season.
Softball is in full gear and I’m breaking in a new Rawlings glove. I’ve moved from first to the outfield so I needed a good mitt. So far so good. I also swung with a Demarini bats for the first time. Man those things really live up to the hype. The ball was just exploding off my bat.
Inland Empire took a 1-0 lead in their series with Lake Elsinore in a fourteen inning game that clocked in at four hours. The game winner was an RBI double by Jamie Hoffman that pushed home the winning run.
Javy Guerra was awesome in four innings of shutout relief. He did give up two hits and two walks but he struck out six and he more importantly, he picked up the win.
Francisco Feliz gave up a run in the thirteenth as Inland Empire lost to the Quakes 10-9. This was after a very rough start by Javy Guerra, who gave up seven runs in 3 2/3 innings.
Russell Mitchell doubled, drove in three runs and scored. Shane Justis went three for seven with a double and three runs.
Javy Guerra was hit hard and he fell to 5-4 on the season in Inland Empire’s 14-2 loss to San Jose. He gave up seven runs on seven hits and five walks with six strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.
Inland Empire’s two runs came on a pair of solo homers. Lucas May and Russell Mitchell both went yard with nobody on base in the loss.
Andrew Locke had a big day at the plate in Inland Empire’s 10-2 win over the Quakes. He went two for four with two homeruns and three RBIs. Blake DeWitt went two for five with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Javy Guerra improved to 5-3 with the win. He gave up two runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Inland Empire beat Lake Elsinore 8-2 and Ryan Rogowski had a big day at the plate. He went three for four with a double, a triple, three runs and an RBI. Adam Godwin went three for four with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Javy Guera improved to 3-2 on the season with the win. He gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits with six strikeouts.
Inland Empire lost to Lancaster 8-7 and while the hitters got it going, the pitchers struggled. Lucas May went two for five with a double, a homerun and three RBIs. Blake DeWitt went three for five with two doubles, an RBI and three runs.
Javy Guerra was roughed up in his start. He gave up four runs on three hits and five walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Jacobo Meque gave up the losing run and he dropped to 1-1 on the season.

Russell Mitchell drove in the only run for Inland Empire. Jamie Hoffmann went two for three with a walk and he scored the only run.
Inland Empire scored four runs in the first inning and while that’s all they got, it was enough to pick up the 4-3 win. Lucas May doubled, drove in one and scored and Ryan Rogowski went two for five with a double and his seventh stolen base.
Javy Guerra picked up the win with five decent innings. He gave up three runs on four hits and five walks with four strikeouts.
