Inland Empire need three runs in the seventh inning to win this one as they topped Lancaster 6-4. Shane Justis tripled, drove in two runs and scored to lead the way at the plate.
Jacobo Meque picked up the win and he improved to 5-2 on the season. He gave up one run on hit and one walk with two strikeouts in two innings of work.
Most days, ten runs is more then enough to pull off a win. And while that’s what Inland Empire put on the board, the pitchers unfortunately gave up seventeen in a 17-10 blowout loss. Four pitchers were used and all four game up at least three runs. Jacobo Meque took the loss and he fell to 4-2 on the season.
Ivan De Jesus had a big day at the plate. He went two for five with a double, four RBIs and a run. Shane Justis tripled, drove in three and scored a run.
Inland Empire was down by as much as 3-0 in this one but they clawed their way back into it and won it in the ninth inning. Drew Locke doubled home Lucas May to tie it and then Jamie Hoffmann singled home Locke to win it.

Inland Empire lost to Lancaster 8-7 and while the hitters got it going, the pitchers struggled. Lucas May went two for five with a double, a homerun and three RBIs. Blake DeWitt went three for five with two doubles, an RBI and three runs.
Javy Guerra was roughed up in his start. He gave up four runs on three hits and five walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Jacobo Meque gave up the losing run and he dropped to 1-1 on the season.
