Juan Gonzalez had a big day at the plate in the Suns 14-4 blowout win over Huntsville. He went two for five with a double, a homerun, five RBIs and two runs James Tomlin went four for five with a double, three RBIs and one run.
Giuseppe Norrito improved to 7-1 on the season with the win. He gave up four runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings.
The Suns won once again and this time it was a 2-1 pitcher’s duel over Huntsville. Alvis Ojeda improved to 4-5 on the season with 4 1/3 innings of shutout relief. He gave up three hits and he struck out three.
The game winning run came in the eighth inning on a Juan Gonzalez solo homerun. Gonzalez also doubled in the third inning and scored the other Suns run.
Zachary Hammes improved to 5-5 on the season with a nice start in the Suns 7-4 win over Mississippi. He gave up two runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Anthony Raglani was the hitting star in the win. He went four for five with a double, two RBIs and one run. James Tomlin went three for four with an RBI.
Justin Orenduff improved to 6-3 on the season with a nice start in the Suns 2-1 win over Mississippi. He gave up one run on five hits with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
Cory Dunlap went two for four with an RBI. James Tomlin doubled, drove in a run and scored.
James McDonald improved to 2-0 on the season since his promotion to Double A and he threw five shutout innings in the Suns 7-4 win over Mississippi. He gave up two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
Xavier Paul went two for four with a two run homer. Anthony Raglani went zero for one but he drew four walks and scored a run.
Jimmy Rohan drove in three runs with his bases loaded clearing triple in the sixth inning as the Suns took care of the Barons 5-2. Kevin Howard had a nice game as well and he went two for four with a solo homerun.
Ramon Troncoso improved to 4-1 with the win. He gave up one hit and one walk in two shutout innings of relief.
The Suns got nothing from their hitters in a 5-0 loss to the Barons. The team put only three runners on base and two of those came on a walk and a single by Juan Gonzalez.
Justin Orenduff dropped to 5-3 on the season with the loss. He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
The Suns made it four straight and Juan Gonzalez led the team at the plate in the 9-4 win. He went three for three with two doubles, four RBIs and a run. Blake DeWitt went two for four with two RBIs and a run.
James McDonald threw a nice game in his Double A debut. He gave up just one run on two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings of work.
Giuseppe Norrito and Greg Miller combined on a three hit shutout as the Suns took care of the Barons 4-0. Norrito gave up the three hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings and he improved to 6-0. Miller threw three innings of no-hit ball and he picked up his first save of the season.
Juan Gonzalez had just one hit but it was a big one. His bases loaded clearing double in the eighth inning busted the game open for the Suns.
Zachary Hammes dropped to 3-5 on the season with a tough start in the Suns 9-3 loss to Mobile. He gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings.
Xavier Paul went three for five with a double and an RBI. Chin Lung Hu went three for five with a run and he’s still hitting a solid .326 on the season.
