Giuseppe Norrito and Greg Miller combined on a three hit shutout as the Suns took care of the Barons 4-0. Norrito gave up the three hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings and he improved to 6-0. Miller threw three innings of no-hit ball and he picked up his first save of the season.
Juan Gonzalez had just one hit but it was a big one. His bases loaded clearing double in the eighth inning busted the game open for the Suns.
Vegas lost another one and this time it was a 5-2 loss to the River Cats. Greg Miller walked six in three innings but it was Spike Lundberg who gave up the go ahead run and took the loss.
Larry Bigbie was the hitting star. He went three for five with a run.
Las Vegas got plenty of offense in their 9-5 win over Colorado Springs. Kelly Stinnett homered and drove in three runs while Andy LaRoche went an impressive three for five with a solo homerun and two runs scored.
Greg Miller threw six no-hit innings and he picked up the win. He walked to and struck out four while improving to 1-0 on the season.
It was all about the long ball today as Las Vegas outscored Salt Lake 9-6. The offense hit four homeruns in all with Sergio Garcia, Mitch Jones, Kelly Stinnett and Tomas Perez all went yard in the game.
Greg Miller didn’t pick up a decision in his start and he gave up three runs with seven strikeouts in four innings. Spike Lundberg was actually hit the hardest but he was the one who picked up the win.
Las Vegas finally picked up their first win of the season in a 9-4 win over Salt Lake. Tony Abreu had a big game at the plate. He went two for five with a triple, three RBIs and two runs. Larry Bigbie had four hits and Delwyn Young hit a solo homerun.
Greg Miller had a tough start and he walked five and gave up a run in three innings. Eric Hull ended up with the win after he pitched two innings of shutout relief.
