Loons Can’t Score a Run In Double Header Sweep By Fort Wayne

by @ 11:16 pm. Filed under Steven Johnson, Joshua Wall, Eduardo Perez, Great Lakes Loons - June 2007

The Loons were double bageled as they were shutout in both of their games against Fort Wayne.  In game one, a solid start by Johsua Wall went to waste.  He gave up just one run on one hit and two walks with three strikeouts in seven innings.  Eduardo Perez’s single was the only baserunner for the Loons.

In game two, the hitting still wasn’t there but the pitching was hit hard as well.  Steven Johnson ended up taking the loss and while he gave up five runs, only one of them was earned because the Loons made four errors in the game.  And the hitters picked up just two singles to make for a pathetic doubleheader.
