Inland Empire scored seven runs and they outhit Lake Elsinore but it wasn’t enough in a 10-7 loss as their series will now go into a winner take all game three tomorrow. Jamie Hoffmann got it done again with a nice game. He went four for five with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Joshua Bell went three for five with an RBI and three other Inland Empire hitters had two hits a piece.
Francisco Felix took the loss although he was hardly the only culprit. Four of the five pitchers used in the game gave up runs with Garrett White getting the hardest. He gave up three runs in just 2/3 of an inning.
Francisco Feliz gave up a run in the thirteenth as Inland Empire lost to the Quakes 10-9. This was after a very rough start by Javy Guerra, who gave up seven runs in 3 2/3 innings.
Russell Mitchell doubled, drove in three runs and scored. Shane Justis went three for seven with a double and three runs.
Francisco Felix fell to 2-2 on the season with a tough start in Inland Empire’s 5-3 loss to the Quakes. He gave up five runs on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts in four innings.
Ivan De Jesus went three for four with a run and an RBI. Russell Mitchell belted a solo homerun in the second inning.
Francisco Felix improved to 2-1 on the season with a really nice start in Inland Empire’s 6-2 win over Modesto. He gave up just one unearned run on three hits and three walks with five strikeouts in seven innings.
Blake DeWitt went two for five with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Gabriel Gutierrez went two for four with two RBIs and two runs.
Ryan Rogowski had a big day at the plate in Inland Empire’s 11-8 win. He went two for three with a homerun, five RBIs and two runs. Blake Dewitt also had a nice game and he went four for five with two doubles.
Francisco Felix picked up the win and he improved to 1-1 on the season. He gave up three runs on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts in five innings.
Russell Mitchell hit a solo homerun in the sixth inning and that was all Inland Empire got in the 7-1 loss to Modesto. Francisco Felix was hit hard and he took the loss. He gave up four runs on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Two of the six hits went over the fence.
Eduardo Perez’s three run homer was the big hit in the Loons 5-4 win over Cedar Rapids. Matthew Berezay provided the rest of the scoring with a two run double.
Francisco Feliz picked up the win with 4 2/3 innings of shutout relief. He gave up twp hits and a walk and he struck out six.
Francisco Felix wasn’t neccesarily hit hard, but he gave up enough in the Loons 5-4 loss to Lansing. He gave up three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts in four innings of work.
Matthew Berezay was the hitting star. He went three for three with a double, an RBI and two runs.
The Loons got some pretty good pitching in their win over Fort Wayne. Thomas Melgarejo had a mediocre start and he gave up two runs on four hits but the pen was awesome. Michael Gardner improved to 2-o with three shutout innings and then Francisco Felix threw two no hit innings to pick up the save.
Francisco Lizarraga had a nice day at the plate in the 3-2 win. He went four for five with a run.
