Chin Lung Hu handed his promotion nicely as he was one of the hitting stars in Vegas’ 8-5 win over Salt Lake. He went two for five with a double, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. John Lindsey also had a nice game and he went two for three with a homerun, a double and three RBIs.
D.J. Houlton picked up the win and he improved to 6-4 on the season. He gave up two unearned runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Las Vegas’ hitters managd just four hits in a 5-2 loss to Fresno. Wilson Valdez had two of those hits when he went two for four with a run.

Delwyn Young accounted for most of Vegas’ offense with a three run homer in the ninth inning. It was his eleventh long ball of the season. Wilson Valdez went three for five with two runs.
The good news is, Las Vegas scored ten runs against Memphis. The bad news is, the pitching gave up fourteen in a high scoring game. B.J. LaMura took the loss and he gave up six runs in just 1 1/3 innings. D.J. Houlton gave up five runs in his four inning start.
Matt Kemp went four for five with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Mitch Jones homered twice and he finished with three RBIs.
Choo Freeman doubled home Larry Bigbie in the top of the ninth to win it for Vegas. Freeman finished the game two for three and Delwyn Young went two for four with a double.
D.J. Houlton was solid in his start but he didn’t get the decision. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. Matt Riley picked up the win with 2 2/3 shutout innings.
A pretty good start by D.J. Houlton went to waste in Vegas’ 5-3 loss to Tacoma. He gave up five hits and two walks with six striekouts in six innings. Matt White then gave up two runs in his one innings and Eric Hull took the loss after he gave up three more in the eighth.
Mitch Jones provided most of the offense with a two run homer. Matt Kemp went two for three with an RBI and a run.
D.J. Houlton improved to 5-2 on the season with five shutout innings in Las Vegas’ 4-1 in over Portland. He gave up just one hit and four walks with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Ken Huckaby was the hitting star in the win. He was the only player with two hits and he also drove in two of the four runs.
Mitch Jones hit a huge three run homer in the fourth inning of Las Vegas’ 7-5 win over New Orleans. Delwyn Young doubled twice, scored a run and drove in one while Luis Maza went three for four with two doubles and an RBI.
D.J. Houlton picked up the win despite a mediocre outing. He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
51s pitchers gave up nine walks in their 4-3 loss to Sacramento. D.J. Houlton had a good enough start but he gave up two runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Luis Gonzalez gave up the run that mattered in the ninth as Las Vegas lost it.
Sergio Garcia drove in all of Las Vegas’ runs with one swing of the bat. He hit a three run homerun and Tomas Perez finished with two hits and a run.
