Las Vegas lost 8-5 but it wasn’t because of Delwyn Young. The leftfielder went three for five with a double, a homerun and two RBIs. Eric Stults also had a solid day at the plate trying to make up for a rough start. He went two for two with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Casey Hoorelbeke took the loss. He gave up three runs in one inning of relief and he fell to 1-2 on the season.
Luis Maza had a big day at the plate in Las Vegas’ 8-6 win over Tacoma. He went four for five with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Miguel Pinango was hit hard in his start but the pen picked him up. Casey Hoorelbeke threw two frames and he gave a run to pick up the win.
Joe Mays took it on the nose in Las Vegas’ 7-3 loss to Salt Lake. He gave up five runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk with no strikeouts in five innings. Casey Hoorelbeke was also knocked around for two runs on five hits in two innings of work. It also didn’t help that the defense made three errors.
Delwyn Young was the only Las Vegas hitter with two hits. He singled twice and scored a run.
