B.J. LuMura dropped to 1-4 on the season with a tough start in the Vegas’ 10-5 loss to Colorado Springs. He gave up seven runs on six hits and two walks with one strikeout in 1 2/3 innings.
Luis Maza went one for four with a double, a walk and two runs in the loss. Marshall McDougall singled twice and he drew a walk.
The good news is, Las Vegas scored ten runs against Memphis. The bad news is, the pitching gave up fourteen in a high scoring game. B.J. LaMura took the loss and he gave up six runs in just 1 1/3 innings. D.J. Houlton gave up five runs in his four inning start.
Matt Kemp went four for five with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Mitch Jones homered twice and he finished with three RBIs.
Las Vegas made a run at a comeback in their 9-8 loss but they fell just short. Joe Mays had a rough start and he gave up five runs on eight hits and a walk with four strikeouts in five innings. B.J. LaMura took the loss when he gave up the deciding run in the eighth inning.
Delwyn Young had a nice game. He was a perfect four for four with three doubles, a run and an RBI. James Loney went two for four with two doubles, three RBIs and a run.
The Suns blew out Huntsville in a 10-4 win. Anthony Ragliani drove in three of those runs and Chin Lung Hu also had a nice day at the plate. He went three for five with two doubles, a run and an RBI.
Alvis Ojeda had a tough time on the mound and he walked eight and gave up four runs in four innings. B.J. LaMura picked up the win with three no-hit innings but he walked five and he struck out four.
The Suns got their share of offense in this game but the pitching was pretty poor. Eric Cyr and B.J. LaMura were both tagged for five runs each in the Suns 10-6 loss.
Alberto Concepcion, Jr. only had one hit but it was a homerun. He finished the game with two RBIs and two runs. John Lindsey also went hard and he scored twice.
