The Suns padded their league lead to four games with a 3-2 win over Carolina. Clayton Kershaw, as expected, had a tough time with his big jump all the way to Double A but he put together a worthy start none the less. He gave up two runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. It’s nice to see them testing the left hander this early with some talent that should be over his head.
Ramon Troncoso improved to 7-2 with a shutout ninth inning. Anthony Raglani walked twice and scored two runs while Juan Gonzalez singled and drove in two.
Zachary Hammes improved to 5-5 on the season with a nice start in the Suns 7-4 win over Mississippi. He gave up two runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Anthony Raglani was the hitting star in the win. He went four for five with a double, two RBIs and one run. James Tomlin went three for four with an RBI.

The good news is, the Suns hitters racked up eleven runs. The bad news is, the pitchers gave up 16 in a tough loss. Justin Orenduff was hit hard in his start and he took the loss. He gave up seven runs (just three earned) in 2 2/3 innings.
Octavio Martinez hit a three run homer in the loss. Anthony Raglani went one for two with three walks, a homerun, two RBIs and three runs.

Eric Cyr got it done on the mound for the Suns in their 4-2 win over Mobile. He gave up just two runs on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings of work. The win pushes Cyr to 3-1 on the season.
Anthony Raglani provided most of the offense with two double and three RBIs. John Lindsey hit a solo homerun and Wilkin Ruan was a perfect four for four with two doubles and a run.
The Suns scored nine runs in the final two frames in today’s game but that merely pulled them to within a run of tying the game in a 13-12 loss to West Tennessee. Just about everyone was a hitting star in this one. Anthony Raglani went two for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs while Luke Allen finished with three runs.
Michael Megrew was hammered and he took his first loss of the season. He gave up eleven runs (seven earned) on fourteen hits and three walks with four strikeouts in six innings.

William Juarez was knocked around in a very tough loss to Huntsville. He gave up all ten runs in a 10-2 loss and it was on ten hits and four walks in just four innings of work. It’s his first loss of the season and in his previous two starts, he threw seven innings in each and didn’t give up a run in either.
